Back to sh-Cool

Okay, I totally dropped the ball on blogging more- but David Bowie and Alan Rickman died so I feel like I get a pass.

But now that we're back from our mourning period IT'S BACK TO SCHOOL TIME!

The second week of Spring 2016 starts tomorrow so by now you should have a good idea of most of the things you will need, even if your professor cruelly refused to post a syllabus a week ahead of class, but below are 5 MUST HAVE BOOKS that aren't listed as required texts but totally should be!!

1. Michelle Cordero's Jelly Shots- Let's just be honest with ourselves, the most important thing during these formative-high-stress years is self-care, so pick this one up along with a pack of face masks and really comfy jim-jams because - bitch you need to unwind! Invite your ladies or your bros for some much needed R&R and consume drinks the way you would have wanted to in Elementary School, the last time your heart was at piece!!

2. Egon Ronay's Eating Out on a Budget in the UK and Ireland- Everyone knows college is expensive- between the tuition, books, dorm and/or flat, and the bottles required for the book above, there is literally no room in the budget for food. Now, that is somewhat of a blessing if you are trying to keep off the weight gain commonly associated with the first year of college, but you *literally* have to eat to survive the semester. So pick up this fantastic text for eating out on budget for less that $170!

3. Bobby Flay's Brunch Book- Ok, I know I said we don't have money for fancy home cooked meals- but brunch totally doesn't count. Pick this up for the pre-jello shot study brunches and you will be the one everyone is dying to lend their notes to! Or just pinterest some recipes, it's probably cheaper.

However that leads to:
3 1/2. Williams-Sonoma's Brunch Entertaining- at only $.01 this is totally a steal and will ensure you don't wreck yourself by putting out a rachet table cloth.

4. Study Guide to Studying- You might not know how! It's like one of the biggest killers in a college career. So pick up this one, or maybe another one, but you should probably definitely pick up something- you can't just go reading your textbooks and taking notes all willy-nilly, that's just a recipe for disaster- and disaster has no place at brunch or jello-shots pajama time.

5. Girl, Interrupted- for when the above book doesn't work and you feel particularly overwhelmed, just be glad you aren't in a psych ward with 90's Angelina Jolie. She kept a vial of blood back then!
